As you know Goldman Sachs had predicted that Nigeria will make the Next 11 leading world economies. The US EXIM bank listed us among its focus countries for strategic investment. Jeffrey Sachs also wrote in New York Times that Nigeria will most likely join the BRICS countries to now become BRINCS.

If you put these against the prediction by the global investment firm of Morgan Stanley that Nigeria's economy will overtake that of South Africa by 2025, then you know why we must make conscious effort not only to transform our economy but also to make global partnerships that will improve investments into our economy and through it address issues of unemployment, youth restiveness, militancy etc.
